When can freshman move in at Penn State 2022? ›

Students living on campus for fall semester 2022 will be able to check-in to University Housing between August 18-21; early arrival housing is available August 15-17 for special groups for an additional fee.

The late drop deadline for each course is on the day when approximately 80 percent of the course is complete. There is no limit to the number of courses you can drop before this deadline. Courses you late drop will be entered with a notation of the late drop on your academic record.

Penn State does not have a minimum GPA or standardized test score used for admission. There are no such things as “cut-offs.”

One C in your transcript will not greatly impact your GPA and if it is a rare occurrence some colleges will just consider it a fluke. Colleges will probably look past it if that is the only class you've ever really struggled with as reflected per your grades.

While receiving a “C” will impact your GPA, it will certainly not ruin it. That “C” won't ruin your chances of getting into college either.

Penn State Housing Options

Each Penn State campus has its own housing options. While first-year students at University Park and students not local to Penn State Behrend have to live on campus, the other campuses that offer on-campus housing do so on a first-come, first-served basis.

“In my mind, the way we've built it at Penn State, there's really no reason to opt out. We will be flexible with all of our guys.” The only two players for the Nittany Lions who have currently opted out are cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and wide receiver Parker Washington, although Washington's is due to injury.

Prohibited Items

Alcohol - Alcohol is prohibited on campus, regardless of the resident's age. Appliances (except for residents in apartments with full kitchens) Ashtrays - Smoking is prohibited in all residence halls, common areas, and dining facilities. Candles and incense.

AC units are installed in regular and supplemental housing rooms in traditional residence halls.
